Louisiana Rotary Water Well Donation.
The poorest Nicaraguan citizens and most remote barrios face life-threatening danger every day they drink the dirty and often contaminated water from their hand-dug wells. Facing harsh soil conditions and economic obstacles, Nicaraguans need clean water.
Club members contributed enough money, $1,000 that is needed to build a fresh water well, it is Rotary's goal is to provide potable water to the poor who live in the barrios of Nicaragua. |

ROTARY RADIO DAYS
Each spring, on a Saturday, Rotarians take to the airwaves, playing music, providing news and weather updates and news about Rotarians and Rotary Projects. Local Rotarian and owner of KJFM, Thom Sanders, makes the microphones available to our ametuer DJ's. Rotary members spend about 3 weeks prior to the event selling advertising and sponsorships for the Radio program. Throughout the day, the Rotarians promote those sponsors while sharing the word about Rotary projects and good deeds. In 2006, the event $3450 was raised for Rotary Club projects during Rotary Radio Days! |
